If you are considering laser eye surgery, one of the first things you are probably looking for is the cost and in particular, an Optical Express discount code.

I completely understand this because I was in the exact same position back in 2020. Laser eye surgery is a big decision, not only because it is a medical procedure, but because it is also a financial investment.

I spent a lot of time researching different clinics, understanding the different procedures available and deciding whether laser eye surgery was actually worth it.

I eventually chose Optical Express for my LASEK laser eye surgery in December 2020, and nearly six years later, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have made.

I have documented my entire laser eye surgery journey on this blog, from my initial consultation, surgery day and recovery, all the way through to my long-term six-year update.

One of the benefits of sharing my experience online is that I am now able to help others who are considering laser eye surgery, including providing access to an Optical Express discount code.

Optical Express Discount Code

If you are looking for an Optical Express discount code, I can help.

As someone who had laser eye surgery with Optical Express and has shared my experience online for nearly six years, I am able to provide access to a discount for anyone considering treatment.

To receive the details, you can either:

  • Email me at jagsjourneyblog@gmail.com
  • Or leave a comment below with your first name and surname and I can share the details with you

Please note: comments are public, so if you would prefer to keep your details private, email is the best option.

I would always recommend doing your own research and attending a consultation before making any final decision, but if you are already considering Optical Express, the discount can help reduce the overall cost.

My Optical Express Laser Eye Surgery Experience

Before talking about discounts, I think it is important to share my actual experience.

Laser eye surgery is still surgery, and everyone’s eyes are different. A discount should never be the reason someone chooses a clinic. The most important thing is understanding the procedure, the potential risks and whether it is the right decision for you.

For me, Optical Express was the right choice.

I had LASEK laser eye surgery using iDesign technology in December 2020 after years of wearing contact lenses.

Before surgery, I relied on contact lenses every single day and hated the feeling of needing something just to be able to see clearly. The idea of waking up and seeing without glasses or lenses honestly felt impossible.

The recovery was not completely straightforward. The first few weeks were difficult, with fluctuating vision and moments where I questioned whether I had made the right decision.

However, over time my eyes settled, and the results improved significantly.

Nearly six years later, I still have 20/20 vision and I rarely think about the fact I ever needed glasses or contact lenses.

Is Laser Eye Surgery Worth The Cost?

One of the biggest questions people have is whether laser eye surgery is actually worth the money.

For me, the answer is yes.

When I was deciding whether to go ahead, I compared the upfront cost of surgery with the ongoing cost of wearing contact lenses.

At the time, I was spending around £35 per month on contact lenses.

That works out at:

  • £420 per year
  • £4,200 over 10 years
  • £8,400 over 20 years

Of course, laser eye surgery is not just about saving money. The biggest benefit for me has been the freedom.

Since having surgery, I have had my wedding, honeymoon and holidays without needing glasses or contact lenses.

Being able to see clearly without thinking about it is something I genuinely appreciate.

Would I Choose Optical Express Again?

Nearly six years later, the answer is yes.

Looking back, the process was much smoother than I expected.

I had LASEK, and while the recovery was challenging at times, the aftercare and support helped me through the process.

[LASEK Recovery Timeline]

I have experienced some minor side effects over the years, including occasional dry eyes during periods of intense screen time and the odd occasion where I notice glare at night when I am extremely tired.

However, these have been very minor, and overall I feel incredibly fortunate with my results.

I have no regrets about choosing laser eye surgery.
